With over 30 years of experience and training, Dr. David Armstrong is a recognized authority on medical and surgical diseases of the intestine, colon, rectum & anus. Dr. Armstrong is a triple board surgeon in General and Colorectal Surgery. Dr. Armstrong is also a distinguished member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the American College of Surgeons.
Originally from England, Dr. Armstrong studied medicine at the Royal Infirmary of Manchester, the Royal of Infirmary of Edinburgh, followed by residency training at Yale University in New Haven, CT and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
In addition to treating patients for general and colorectal conditions, Dr. Armstrong is the pioneer of innovative surgical devices, medications, and published research findings for complex medical conditions. His extensive research has led to discoveries that are now used around the world. His other contributions to the advancement of the study of medicine include creating the first Colorectal Fellowship program in the Southeast that is now managed by Northside Hospital. The program continues to provide training of the best and brightest doctors in America.
Dr. David Armstrong treats patients with colorectal conditions, including colon cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, ulcerative colitis, colonoscopies and Crohn’s disease in his Gwinnett/Lawrenceville office and is also available by appointment at Northside Hospital.
